At The Hampstead Gardener we pride ourselves on the level of care and customer service we give. We have won awards for our gardening and window box displays and always aim to go the extra mile to maintain your garden to the highest standard. To start, we generally like to speak with you and hear exactly what you're looking for so we can give you our thoughts and a general estimate on time and costs.

We don't charge for travel time but we do ask that you provide parking vouchers or reimburse us for parking expenses.

Design prices:

We generally charge £150 (cost credited towards build costs should you choose to go ahead with us) for an initial design consultation, including advice and initial site visit. We sit down with you to understand in detail how you intend to use the transformed space, what you like/dislike and generally try to understand exactly what you are looking to achieve with your outside space. From there, we work together to develop a garden/planting design that works within your budget.

Formal Garden Designs, which include existing and proposed scale drawings, start at £950.

For smaller projects, many clients find that scale drawings are not necessarily, and they are happy to trust us to deliver plantings and/or materials based on verbal conversations for a greatly reduce design cost, prices starting at £450.

We are happy to work with you, whichever way you'd like to work.

Garden Maintenance prices:

We generally charge an hourly rate of £50 with a two hour minimum for one person. You may be able to find someone to do your garden slightly cheaper but won't find another knowledgeable & trustworthy gardener that will care for your garden as if it was their own, like we do.

If more advanced expertise, machinery/tools/supplies or materials are required (like installing support/guide wires, designing a new garden, laying new turf, heavy-duty leaf blowing or supplying and planting new plants) we would discuss requirements and provide an estimate of costs to cover cost of time/materials/plants. But for the vast majority of work, we simply charge a flat fee. Contact us if you'd like an exact quote for your circumstances.

Garden Waste Disposal

We are afraid we can't take your garden rubbish away with us, so we would either ask you to provide bins/bags provided by the council, or we will bag up the garden waste for your local collection or compost pile.
